Lugendo’s research focuses on seagrass and fish ecology. She has been a key figure in WIOMSA since 1996, contributing significantly to marine science in the region.

Samson Job
Samson is an assistant lecturer at the University of Dar es Salaam and a marine ecologist specializing in blue carbon, coastal habitat ecology, and the conservation and restoration of coastal habitats. Within LaSMMI, he contributes to field-based seagrass research, supports collaborative field campaigns, and coordinates field logistics.

January is an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Dar es Salaam and serves as the LaSMMI project coordinator, contributing to field work, field work coordination, research logistics, data management and operational planning in support of multidisciplinary research activities.
